As a people and country I believe we are becoming more and more divided. Given the founding principles of our nation, and the heavy price paid for those principles, one has to wonder how this is even possible.
Together we are many and strong, identity politics divides, pitting one group against another. Herein lies the reason for our great national turmoil.
The path followed to what has become the United States was set upon by people searching for a place where bold new ideas like liberty, and freedom for all could be found. Preeminent among these was the right to worship free of persecution.
In the United States, we do have that right. If you listen to what I will call the noise being made by foreign and domestic enemies of our country, you would think this is not the case.
Religious freedom does not mean you have the right to overthrow the government. It does not mean you can set up churches for the purpose of political agenda. Asserting this as one's religious right is nonsense, yet it is entertained. The first is treason and sedition, the second is not only immoral, it is not legal, as it usurps the intent of non-profit tax laws. Lawyers have a name for this; private inurement.
There are wonderful people dedicated to faith. I find it pathetic that others call themselves clergy, invoking constitutional rights to hide in the shadows trolling for their personal gain. What I am speaking to here is widely known. An example of this is those standing in churches giving political speeches.
Yes, it can be rationalized, anything can be. Let me make it a little harder to do. Most that make the speeches seek to either stay, or get in office. If successful they gain power and are paid, thus, using the church, and its members, for their personal business and enrichment. The next time you see a member of the clergy or someone self-professed as devout do this, or you hear them on the radio or television, ask them to contrast what they are doing with this. Watch as they stumble all over themselves.
"And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money-changers, and the seats of them that sold doves," Matthew 21.12
What they are doing is no different, and they should be called out and exposed.
The separation of church and state, how many times have you heard the Constitution used in an attempt to legitimize removing anything to do with Christianity from our country? Read the Constitution. I challenge anyone to show me where the words, "separation of church and state" appear. I will even give license to those challenging this to find it in any of the debates leading to the ratification of it. It is not there.
The whole premise is false word butchery to support what is called the Progressive and Liberal agenda; it is Communist doctrine.
Heinrich Karl Marx stated religion is the opium of the people. It was necessary to defeat all organized religion to impose the rule of the State, and it was set upon to do exactly that. Joseph Stalin killed tens of millions of Christians and destroyed many historical cathedrals and churches. Marx and Stalin are but two examples, there are many more.
It is now liberalistic and popular to profess secularism, a corner stone of Communism. Just where did this come from? I have read extensively on this subject and can find no credible evidence our founders were in the majority secular, they were religious rationalists.
So what is the purpose of this secular movement? I believe it is to upend America's Judaeo-Christian tradition and bring down the United States.
History holds a wealth of wisdom and knowledge on cultures and countries conquered by enemies successful in seeding social unrest. But only for those willing to read, study, and learn from it.
