Twenty-six people -- 20 students and six adults -- were shot and killed at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut on 14 December 2012.
This will too soon be forgotten, just like 911, the 620,000 or more dead from the War Between the States, and so many other horrific events. Just like the obscenity of leaving POW’s in Viet Nam, or allowing people that are mentally ill to be homeless and herded into prisons. After a brief pause most will never give it a second thought. It is easy to blame an object or someone else for what is occurring in our society.
No gun every fired itself, and a baseball bat never attacked anyone. More laws will do nothing. Laws purport to control the conduct of lessor men. Texts capture the number of current laws. This is one with over 200,000 pages. Fact obtained from U.S. Government printing office.
This event is but one reflection from the mirror of consequence for what we do to each other.
You ask why, and say you do not understand?
Can you hear me, do you see me, why do you hurt me
You have given me a greedy place to survive in, you have bullied and shamed me, I have been beaten and abused sexually, you have used drugs to break my spirit, you have placed me in a world of deviants and call me a deviant, you visit guilt on me for things you have done. This and so much more you have done to me. Now you ask why, why have I done this? You know why, you coward, you anathema, you KNOW!!!! By S. Trubilla
When you sow the wind, you reap the whirlwind - Hosea 8:7
I grieve for the lost, and their loved ones.
